Mandela Washington Fellows - Week Three
Week 3 focused on "Sustainability from Process to Product," where the Fellows heard from local business owners and entrepreneurs about how they achieved sustainability in the United States.
During the week, they heard presentations from Stephanie Dodson, Managing Director of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, who spoke about “Investing in Social Entrepreneurs to Create Systematic Change.” Following her speech, Priya Samant of Earth Friendz, discussed “Sustainability, Product Development, and Responsiveness for the Global Community.”
A trip to Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA, included a tour of the farm and facilities and gave the group a chance for a fun hayride and a Q&A session with the owners.
Wrapping up the week was Key Note Speaker, Tom Snyder (of Tom Snyder Productions, Inc.). He spoke with our Fellows about “The Link Between Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Business Development.”
